PFS Survey - Insurance Companies Online - Survey of Insurance Companies’ and Insurance Regulators’ Websites in Southeast Europe and Eurasia

The purpose of this PFS survey is to analyze the transparency of insurance companies and insurance regulatory agencies in Southeast Europe and Eurasia based upon their website disclosures.  Disclosure by  insurance companies of information  relevant to consumers is on the rise in 2012, with Eurasia outrunning SEE. SEE insurance companies are especially weak in providing consumer complaints referral information.  Insurance regulators in SEE and Eurasia usually provide lists of their insurance companies and intermediaries on their websites. More detailed descriptions on licensing procedures, and especially fines and sanctions, as well as list of insolvent companies are usually lacking on insurance regulators’ websites in SEE and Eurasia.
