12 SEE and Eurasia Countries Card Market Benchmark Report

The purpose of this paper is to present the status on payment card industry in the 12 Partners for Financial Stability (countries of Southeast Europe and Eurasia) project countries, based on a defined set of statistical benchmarks, and identifies existing 'gaps' when compared to a “mentor” country – such as the Czech Republic.  

Based upon a discussion and analysis of this paper, the countries of Southeast Europe and Eurasia project will consider initiating regional interventions and activities to address common challenges amongst the 12 countries of Southeast Europe and Eurasia countries.
